Meet The Team

Nina Hakamies

I love what I do and I consciously create my reality.

I've been studying various styles of yoga, mindfulness and sound work, including assisting senior teachers in Australia and overseas since 1995. I offer yoga, sound healing, mindfulness, meditation and end-of-life sound journeys to individuals, groups, workplaces and the corporate sector. Some of my clients include Russell Kennedy Lawyers, St John of God Healthcare, Bendigo Health, RSL, Mount Alexander Shire Council, Loddon Shire Council, The Great Stupa of Universal Compassion, Coliban Water, YogaHara, ALDI, La Trobe University, the University of Melbourne, Health Futures Australia, Bendigo Secondary Senior College, the Marist College, and the annual Bendigo Yoga Festival.

I've studied with Professor Craig Hassed (OAM) at Monash University, completing the trainings ‘Mindfulness for Health Practitioners’ and ‘Train the Trainer in Mindfulness’. I’m a sound healing practitioner with the Sound Healing Academy, registered yoga teacher with Yoga Australia, and mindfulness facilitator with the TeamUp Coaching Program (Asian Leadership Institute). In 2009-10, I completed the foundation and intermediate level teacher training programs with the Knoff Yoga School and registered with the International Yoga Alliance. I was a mentor in YogaHara’s teacher training program in 2020-21.

I have Masters degrees in health sciences (University of London/LSHTM) and in social sciences & development studies (University of Turku). I’ve worked in health and development organisations, such as the World Health Organization, Bendigo Health and The University of Melbourne, around the world, including Switzerland, Sri Lanka, India and The Philippines.

I'm fluent in Finnish, English, French and Swiss German.

My work is continuously inspired by the search for a deeply rewarding, holistic and meaningful life. I enjoy connecting with people who think outside of the box, work with healing forces and are spiritually awake. With this aspiration, Omni Yoga & Mindfulness makes the world a better place in its own authentic way.
