In this meditative chant of the Kalevala, the ancient form of Nordic oral storytelling and mythology meet the modern era in a new, earthy and cosmic way. This version is an adapted writing by Nina Hakamies, based on the 1849 New Kalevala by Elias Lönnrot.

The original Kalevala is epic poetry from the 1800s, characteristic to the ancient Nordic folklore that is over 2000 years old. It tells the story about the creation of the world, including the many adventures and fates of the peoples of the land of the North.
